Volunteer Coordinator supervises and leads the daily undertakings of a volunteer program to attract, inspire, train, and deploy volunteers. Leads the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of volunteer workers. Being a Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for training and educating volunteers. Motivates and inspires volunteers to encourage teamwork. Additionally, Volunteer Coordinator evaluates and reviews volunteer schedules and makes adjustments as necessary. Ensures that the activities of the volunteer workers meet the needs of the organization. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Volunteer Coordinator supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Under the direction of the Director of Health and Leadership, the Community Architect will provide information about legal services, provide practical supports through facilitation of workshops, assists in filling out forms and advocate for justice involved individuals. They will also foster social support by connecting individuals to community resources to increase their social connections and life affirming practices to build strong, healing communities.
This position requires the individual to work with the community outreach and education team while taking direction from the community outreach program coordinator. She/he/they must possess great attention to detail and have strong organizational skills. This individual must understand, maintain, and uphold the mission and vision of Erie Neighborhood House.
