Position Description
The Volunteer Sevices Coordinator is responsible for coordinating activities of the Volunteer Program to include: coordinating the recruitment, training, and management of volunteers within the hospital/practice sites. This position partners with volunteers to build relationships to enhance the overall patient experience, support the delivery of highquality, patient- and family-centered healthcare services, and contribute to the well-being of patients, their families, and the healthcare community.
Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree and 1 year or more of experience in volunteer management, project, or program coordination. Additional years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of minimum education requirement. Program, project, volunteer management experience, Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint, Ability to listen, be empathetic, motivate, follow through, Ability to multi-task and handle heavyworkload.
Preferred Requirements
Master's degree. 2 years or more of experience in volunteer management. Prior Volgistics Database experience. Canva or graphic design experience. Prior special events coordination. Personnel oversight. Volunteer Management Certification. Project Management Certification. American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support.
