Volunteer Services Director manages a volunteer program to attract, inspire, train, and deploy volunteers. Oversees the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of volunteer workers. Being a Volunteer Services Director provides training resources and guidance to a team of supervisors to assist with educating volunteers. Manages the scheduling of volunteer workers to ensure adequate assistance for projects or objectives. Additionally, Volunteer Services Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Volunteer Services Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Volunteer Services Director typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     The Community Volunteer Fire Department is a response department that provides fire suppression, emergency medical services, and technical rescue response to an estimated population of 130,000 people within a geographic area of approximately 25 square miles. We are recruiting men and women who are dedicated to helping their fellow citizens. Community Volunteer Fire Department is one of the few places where you can use your EMS certification as a volunteer at a high-volume fire department. CVFD provides opportunities for Texas EMS Certified individuals to serve on our front-line fleet of ambulances.

    Applications for EMS are accepted all year long. You will be contacted once positions become available.

    Requirements:
    • At least 18 years old
    • TDSHS certification
    • Must be able to provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States
    • Pass a criminal background and drug screen
