Position Summary :

As the Poly Operator, you will operate and maintain packaging equipment. You will ensure bags and cases are sealed correctly and with proper codes displayed.

Key Responsibilities :

Dismantles devices to gain access to and repair, remove, and / or replace defective parts.

Makes repairs and adjustments of functions to packaging machines, case tapers, automatic packers, metal detectors, scales, case erectors, vibrators, conveyors, and shakers that may be necessary for optimum operation.

Observe mechanical devices in operation and listens to locate causes of trouble.

Responsible for lubricating and cleaning equipment parts.

Responsible for daily and downtime sanitation.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Mechanical aptitude; computer, language, and mathematical skills

Physical Demand :

Constant : Stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

Frequently : Walk, talk or hear. Regularly lift and / or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Occasionally : Sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
