Wafer Fabrication Operator manufactures wafers under direct supervision. Performs the basic processes of production, such as: baking, aligning, inspecting, etching, and cleaning the wafers. Being a Wafer Fabrication Operator ensures the quality of final product and provides reports to management. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Wafer Fabrication Operator typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Wafer Fabrication Operator possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Manufacturing:
o Understanding of product and manufacturing workflow
o Keep Assembly and Crating areas of the Production Floor organized and clean
o Organize tools and material stored in correct locations end of shift work
o Assembly of ACM panels per PSG standards
o Pack crates per Quality Policy
o Utilizes drills, other small tools, and common hand tools as needed and trained to use.
o Keep tools and equipment maintained, stored, and secured per policy and report any issues to supervisor
o Understand the Production Team’s requirements to record labor and execute as required
o Notify Lead and Production Supervisor immediately if there is a risk of not completing work order on time per production schedule: Material, Machine, Tool, etc. issues
o Have an approach of continuous improvement to process and methods
Health & Safety:
o Adheres to all Health and Safety Programs Rules, Procedures and Polices while
on the production floor.
o PPE to be worn all times while on the production floor
o Maintains work area cleanliness throughout shift and end of shift work
Quality Assurance:
o Adheres to all Quality Standards during Assembly and Packing.
o Communicate to Lead, Production Supervisor and Quality Supervisor when quality issues
arise that could impact final product to customer.
Inventory Management:
o Complete all material inventory and time tracking operations timely and
accurately.
o Notify lead and production supervisor when material is running low
o Follow the inventory control process and storage for use of materials and supplies.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
o ACM Product knowledge preferred; not required
o General carpentry and/or manufacturing experience preferred; not required
o Manufacturing and product assembly experience preferred; not required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
o Must have manual dexterity and stability as required for assembly work.
o Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
