We are currently hiring a Equipment Operator to work at our Mermentau Facility in Jennings, LA. In this job, you will be working outside in all weather conditions.
This is a local job with no travel and no per diem. We offer family benefits, 401k, and paid vacation.
Pay Range : $18-$20 / hr.
Schedule :
The work schedule is a 14 Days on 7 Days off rotating Days and Night Shift.
Responsibilities :
Operates a variety of equipment to transfer water, through the saltwater transfer, filtration, and injection process. Equipment includes, but is not limited to : pickup truck, tractor, backhoe, excavator, diesel pump, electrical motors, and filter pots.
Performs routine inspection, maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery as required. May assist mechanics in major repairs.
Responsible for servicing equipment including fueling, oil changes, greasing, belt replacement, and hose leak repairs.
Routinely move pumps to appropriate cell for water transfer, which includes moving / placing 4" hoses in excess of 50 lbs.
Continuously monitor pressure and flow rates by reading gauges, switches, and meters then documenting on log sheets.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned including replacing sock filters, cleaning / organizing supplies, painting, pressure washing, pipe repair / replacement, and hose repair / replacement.
Requirements :
High school diploma or GED; 3 - 5 years experience directly related to the duties specified above.
Ability to work in all weather conditions including outside in any weather, around rodents, insects, foul smells, dirt, dust, and hazardous conditions such as mud, wet surfaces, oily surfaces.
Valid Driver's License
