Wafer Process Technician performs tests and experiments required for wafer processing. Sets up processing equipment and performs minor adjustments to equipment within guidelines. Being a Wafer Process Technician designs and executes test runs and disseminates results to facilitate engineering designs. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Wafer Process Technician typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Wafer Process Technician works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Job Duties:
*read, understand, and adhere to process setup sheets.
*perform process/mold technician functions as necessary to meet production needs.
*setup and operate machines as necessary to maintain quality standards and production demands.
*startup, shut down, basic troubleshooting, running of auxiliary equipment and supporting systems.
*perform job, material, and color changes according to production schedule.
*operate overhead cranes and forklifts to pull and set molds in injection molding presses.
*hook up hot runners, robotic arms, cores, and rods if needed.
*ensure mold set up, changeovers, and housekeeping standards are met.
*work with quality and production personnel to ensure molded parts meet requirements and make necessary adjustments.
*stop production to correct any quality issues.
*review and inspect machines daily for maintenance issues.
*assist quality management in creating operating instructions in implementing ISO.
*comply with all safety, quality, ad work rules and regulations.
*perform other duties as necessary.
