Ferrum Process Systems is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Field Service Technician.
Summary of essential job functions
∙ Commissioning, repairing, & troubleshooting mechanical/operational problems with centrifuges used
in the Chemical, Pharmaceutical, and Mining industries.
∙ Provides preventive and corrective field mechanical service on centrifuges
∙ Direct, coordinate, and assist with scheduled and unscheduled equipment repairs and maintenance.
∙ Perform various dimensional and visual inspections on simple to complex parts and sub-assemblies
to varying tolerances. Record inspection results.
∙ Responsible for submitting accurate service reports, expense reports, and other reporting as
necessary.
∙ Consulting and proactive identification of potential.
∙ Find innovative solutions and thus help the customer to be successful.
∙ Know the customers as well as their machinery and help plan / sell follow-up services.
∙ Represent the company in a professional manner at all times and provide outstanding customer
service while performing all assigned tasks
Qualification requirements
∙ Minimum: HS Diploma / GED. Degree in related field is preferred
∙ Experience servicing and repairing rotating equipment, maintenance, or installation field
activities.
∙ Experience performing manual dimensional inspections on parts of varying complexity to
tolerances of varying degrees preferably in an industrial manufacturing environment.
∙ Skilled use of typical inspection tools and gages. Must have experience with calipers, micrometers,
and other conventional measuring tools.
∙ Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
∙ Expert at reading engineering drawings and applying the correct inspection procedure to determine
conformance of part/assembly to drawing.
∙ Must be adaptable to changing work environments, competing demands, delays or unexpected
events and last minute or competing priorities.
∙ Strong work ethic and attention to detail, ensuring quality, accuracy and efficiency of the work being
performed.
∙ Team player with good organization skills, good interpersonal skills, and communication abilities.
∙ Ability to work Overtime when needed, including weekends and different shifts
∙ Use of Windows OS and MS Office products for report generation.
∙ Must have a valid driver’s license.
∙ Well spoken and written knowledge in English; Spanish and further languages are a plus
