Job Summary
Set-up work cells to produce quality plastic parts to fill production orders; to oversee, inform and instruct as necessary, all production personnel assigned to the work cell.
Essential Job Functions
1. Promotes safety awareness, educates, and enforces all safety rules throughout the plant with the goal set at zero plant related injuries
2. Follow appropriate lockout procedures at all times.
3. To set-up and maintain production lines and maintain process stability throughout the production run.
4. Complete X and R charts and part check off sheet.
5. Produce quality plastic parts to fill out all existing production orders.
6. Participate in teamwork by helping others in completing a job. Assist anyone who needs help and/or training as time permits. Show courtesy to others and treat them as you would expect to be treated.
7. Perform production order sign-off. Properly perform breaks to relieve Operators as necessary. Communicate with co-workers who are relieving you at break time or at shift change and explain how to run the line and what to watch for.
8. Report any issues to the Production Supervisor as needed, regarding issues with employee performance, bad parts, machine process, etc.
9. Complete all necessary documentation.
10. Support Continuous Improvement team activities as assigned.
11. Follow all QMS and EMS policies, procedures and work instructions
12. General Housekeeping: keep work area clean and organized at all times per the 6-S Standard.
