  • Position Description:

Currently, we’re seeking a warehouse manager to oversee operations at our distribution center in Tifton, GA. This skilled multitasker will manage the receiving, handling, storing, picking, and packing activities of the warehouse, ensuring that quality standards are met or exceeded. The warehouse manager must achieve inventory accuracy, coordinate order fulfillment, and monitors assigned employees’ abilities to safely operate equipment within the warehouse. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail-oriented and able to manage multiple facets of warehouse operations simultaneously. Coordinates all assigned warehousing activities with management and administration. Champions safe working conditions and monitors employees to ensure safe operation of equipment within the warehouse. This position reports directly to the Branch Manager and works hand in hand with the Branch Lead.

    Objectives of this role

    Ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency — with customer satisfaction the primary goal — by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals

    • Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory, gate processes, and shipping methods
    • Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
    • Oversee daily operations while controlling and managing inventory and logistics
    • Review and prepare workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service
    • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Oversees and supervises the day-to-day activities including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service.
    • Schedule and oversee warehouse team, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.
    • Supervises maintenance of facilities, product handling equipment and inventory warehousing control systems, manual or automated.
    • Coordinates all assigned warehousing activities with management and administration.
    • Meet regularly with warehouse leads to analyze productivity and develop actionable plans for loss prevention.
    • Ability to relate at all levels at the center and across the Company, as well as successfully interacts with outside vendors and Company customers/dealers.

    Experience(s) that Best Prepares You:

    • Minimum High School diploma or GED required.
    • Previous 5 year management experience (direct supervision of employees); experience in the receipt, storage or distribution of supplies or equipment preferred.
    • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the company, in its discretion, may find appropriate and acceptable.

    • Familiarity with current materials, methods, tools and equipment (including technology) used in distribution operations.

    Physical Demands/Work Environment/Travel Requirements:

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk, hear, taste and/or smell; the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 150 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
    • Travel to the Corporate Office and other destinations throughout the geographic area within the assigned region may be required.
