Warehouse Supervisor supervises the overall warehouse operations and daily activities of staff. Oversees receiving and stowing, picking and packing, shipping, inventory management, and documentation. Being a Warehouse Supervisor optimizes efficient layouts, workflows, and utilization of warehouse space. Monitors the safety and security of goods and materials. Additionally, Warehouse Supervisor utilizes a warehouse management system (WMS), enterprise resource system (ERP), or other system to track and analyze processes and performance. Implements strong safety polices and procedures. Typically requires an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Warehouse Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Warehouse Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Leaders RPM is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor at our Schoolcraft warehouse.
Leaders RPM Shop has quickly grown to become one of the largest ecommerce retailers of marine and powersports parts and accessories in the country.
Leaders started its ecommerce online presence by selling on the eBay marketplace in 2001., Today, you will find our products not only on eBay and Amazon, but also Google and Walmart marketplaces in addition to our own website, LeadersRPMshop.com.
In order to support our continued growth, in 2016 we purchased a 150,000 sq ft distribution center allowing for streamlined order management and continuing our commitment to same day shipping.
The basic function of the Warehouse Supervisor is to oversee the day-to-day operation of the warehouse under the direction of the warehouse manager.
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong computer skills and ability to navigate multiple manufacturer websites.
- Solid grasp of logistics as it relates to warehousing.
- Be adaptable to fast pace and ever-changing work environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be available to open/close building as required.
- Ensure every employee is staying on task. Effectively shift personnel to appropriate areas based on daily needs of the warehouse.
- Assist with picking, shipping and receiving.
- Ensure that all orders are printed and shipped the same day.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 per week
