Warehouse Manager

Overview:

Precision Homes Services is seeking a highly organized and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee all aspects of the warehouse operations in Sidney Nebraska. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proven track record of optimizing warehouse efficiency while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for managing inventory, coordinating shipments, supervising staff, and implementing warehouse best practices to ensure seamless operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Management:

• Learn, know and utilize our construction management software (Buildertrend) and our warehouse management system (Fishbowl).
• Oversee the receiving, storage, and proper distribution of materials and products.
• Ensure sales orders and materials are accurate, and transferred on schedule.
• Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure accurate stock levels.
• Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and minimize losses.
• Work with the management team to ensure inventory systems and processes ard streamlined.

2. Operational Efficiency:

• Develop and enforce efficient workflow processes to maximize productivity.
• Monitor and optimize warehouse layout to improve space utilization and accessibility.
• Implement best practices for streamlining operations and reduce waste.

3. Team Leadership:

• Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff, including warehouse associates, supervisors, and forklift operators.
• Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to ensure a high-performing team.
• Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.

4. Quality Control:

• Ensure that all incoming and outgoing shipments meet quality standards.
• Implement quality control procedures to prevent product damage or loss during handling and storage.
• Collaborate with other departments to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.

5. Logistics Coordination:

• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with carriers and logistics partners.
• Schedule deliveries and pickups to optimize transportation efficiency and minimize costs.
• Monitor shipment tracking and address any delays or discrepancies in a timely manner.

6. Safety Compliance:

• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and address any potential hazards or violations.
• Provide safety training to warehouse staff and promote a culture of safety awareness.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory capacity. (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management principles, and logistics processes.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software applications.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve efficiency and performance.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment (preferred).
