Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff including training, and performance management
- Oversee shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of orders
- Implement and maintain effective warehouse procedures to optimize productivity and minimize errors
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing to ensure adequate stock levels
- Utilize warehouse management system (WMS) to track inventory movements and maintain accurate records
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to increase efficiency
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment
- Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and customer service, to meet customer demands
- Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy and resolve any discrepancies
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in warehouse management or supervisory role
- Familiarity with shipping/receiving processes and best practices
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Proficient in inventory control techniques, including cycle counting and reconciliation
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) as needed
- Experience in e-commerce fulfillment is preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
