Warehouse Supervisor supervises the overall warehouse operations and daily activities of staff. Oversees receiving and stowing, picking and packing, shipping, inventory management, and documentation. Being a Warehouse Supervisor optimizes efficient layouts, workflows, and utilization of warehouse space. Monitors the safety and security of goods and materials. Additionally, Warehouse Supervisor utilizes a warehouse management system (WMS), enterprise resource system (ERP), or other system to track and analyze processes and performance. Implements strong safety polices and procedures. Typically requires an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Warehouse Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Warehouse Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.   • Job Overview

    Responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and measuring operations within a warehouse facility. Measure standard operating processes within facility. Work from customer business schedules, develop daily schedules, and measure performance to schedules. 

    What will you enjoy doing (duties/tasks)
    • Establish and maintain warehouse operational infrastructure 
    • Develop and maintain ISO level operation guidelines and metrics including communication to internal and external customers 
    • Develop and monitor productivity standards 
    • Establish and maintain daily operating schedules 
    • Coordinate daily cycle counts 
    • Develop and maintain training requirements for all employees 
    • Routing trucks in and out of the warehouse when needed 
    • Load and Unload trucks when necessary 
    • Check in and break down import freight when necessary 
    • Write up documentation for exporting freight when necessary 
    • Maintain safe working environment 
    • Provide customer service to prevent and resolve errors 
    • Other duties as assigned 
    The individual in this position must be capable of performing all of the essential functions with or without a reasonable accommodation.

    What you need to succeed (Qualifications, experience, skills, attributes)
    • This is a supervisory position 
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred 
    • Generally prefer 2 years of related supervisory experience 
    • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills required
