Warehouse Supervisor supervises the overall warehouse operations and daily activities of staff. Oversees receiving and stowing, picking and packing, shipping, inventory management, and documentation. Being a Warehouse Supervisor optimizes efficient layouts, workflows, and utilization of warehouse space. Monitors the safety and security of goods and materials. Additionally, Warehouse Supervisor utilizes a warehouse management system (WMS), enterprise resource system (ERP), or other system to track and analyze processes and performance. Implements strong safety polices and procedures. Typically requires an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Warehouse Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Warehouse Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     We are seeking a candidate to fill a Warehouse Supervisor position in High Point, NC for the Operations department.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Building Management:
    • Responsible for ensuring general upkeep of building maintenance, including building walks/inspections, responding to building system issues, coordination of trades/vendors and compliance of fire/life/safety systems.
    • Identify necessary building repairs and improvements, recommend sub-contractors, vendors and materials within budget, and review expenses and invoices for services rendered.
    • Manage cleaning, janitorial, kitchen and office supplies.
    • On call 24/7 when a building emergency arises, such as leaks, fire/life safety, security and access issues.

    High Point Furniture Market:
    • Coordinate the receiving of market sample shipments.
    • Schedule and manage all temp labor as needed for unloading, loading, and moving upholstery furniture.
    • Scan, count and inspect market samples as they are being unloaded and ensure the accuracy in counting and reporting damaged, missing and extra items.
    • Tag all new products that arrive in showroom and re-tag any missing or as directed.
    • Clear showroom space for Market by moving excess products to warehouse.
    • Transfer products from warehouse to showroom as requested.
    • Set up display furniture samples in showroom.
    • Check the accuracy of temp labor’s timesheets and submit them to accounting.

    Inventory Management:
    • Perform physical inventory and research inventory variances.
    • Help with closeout sales, acquiring list from sales & marketing, preparing BOL, scheduling pickup, checking off items during load, and ensuring complete paperwork.
    • Assist with in-house photoshoots.
    • Create paperwork for offsite photoshoots, ship products, follows up to get products returned, receive products back into showroom, closes out paperwork and update inventory list.

    Other Responsibilities:
    • Fulfill swatch orders and update swatch order log as orders received daily.
    • Coordinate LCL order shipment with 3rd party warehouse.
    • Ship parts supplied by factory to customers.
    • Schedule technician services.
    • Manage petty cash in possession.
    • Deposit checks in bank.
    • Additional tasks will be assigned during off Market time to assist the other operations functions within the department.
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

    Qualification Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree preferred.
    • 3 - 5 years of experience in building management and handling upholstery furniture.
    • Physically fit for moving upholstery furniture up to 300 LBS.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, establish priorities and multi-task.
    • Detail oriented and well organized.
    • Goal oriented and results driven.
    • Effective user of Microsoft Office.
    • Good communication skills - verbal & written.

    Compensation & Benefits:
    • Job Type: Full-time.
    • Annual Salary: $50K to $55K.
    • Compensation is dependent upon qualifications with potential for performance bonuses.
