Warehouse Supervisor (San Luis Obispo)

Employment type: In person full-time. San Luis Obispo, CA 93401: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Hours: Monday to Friday (weekend and evenings as needed)

Responsible for overseeing the efficient and accurate receipt, storage and shipping of goods in the warehouse. This role requires organizational, leadership and operational skills to ensure optimal warehouse operations.

1. Inventory Management and Operational Efficiency

• Manage all functions of receiving, storing and shipping warehouse inventory.
• Maintain quality control and accuracy of receiving documents and investigate discrepancies between receiving docs, purchase orders and bills.
• Manage and optimize the fulfilling of multi-channel sales (i.e. wholesale, ecommerce, etc.)
• Monitor space utilization for well-organized storage and picking orders efficiently.
• Communicate with and report status updates to shipping, production and sales departments.
• Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse at all times.
• Help management set KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) related to items such as inventory turnover, order fulfillment and inventory write-offs.

2. Technology and Systems

• Utilize warehouse management system (NetSuite) to track and manage inventory.
• Implement scanning and other technology solutions to enhance warehouse operations.
• Provide training on systems and procedures to warehouse staff.

3. Supervision and Leadership

• Recruit, train and coach staff in a professional manner.
• Schedule and assign warehouse staff responsibilities.
• Coordinate schedules and prioritize tasks with other corporate managers.
• Ensure the company complies with all applicable health and safety standards.
• Be willing to assist with tasks at all levels.
• Add ideas and input for efficient and effective use of assets.
• Identify areas of improvement and work with management to implement industry best practices.

Other Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in technology required (NetSuite or comparable ERP and apparel experience is strongly preferred.)
• Experience with multi-channel sales
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as: lifting and moving heavy items, standing for long periods of time, climbing ladders, etc.
• Knowledge of import/export logistics.
• Detail orientated and well-organized.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory requirements in warehouse operations.
• Able to operate machinery and equipment.

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Warehouse experience: 1 year (Preferred)
