Warehouse Worker moves materials within a warehouse and completes other warehouse support tasks. Performs various operations, including unloading, picking, packing, counting, and checking items to maintain inventory. Being a Warehouse Worker operates hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, motorized conveyors, or other material handling equipment according to safety policies and procedures. May view or input information into a warehouse management system (WMS), enterprise resource system (ERP), or other database. Additionally, Warehouse Worker typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Warehouse Worker works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our warehouse/delivery team at Swan's Fine Home in North Platte, NE. If you are someone who is passionate about providing excellent customer service, is dependable, hard-working, and has a strong attention to detail, then we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and organize incoming inventory
- Unwrap and assemble and inspect all inventory for the showroom and customer's.
- Ensure all products are properly labeled and stored
- Load and unload delivery trucks
- Keep the warehouse organized and clean
- Work with customer's to ensure accurate and efficient and exceptional delivery.
- Deliver furniture within 100 miles to customer's home.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous warehouse experience preferred but not required
- Ability to lift 100 pounds
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to spend time on the road 1-2 times per week, out-of-town, delivering to customer's homes during working hours.
