Works with heavy equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks to move freight from trucks. Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects and work in hot or cold weather.

Must be able to set up machinery for operation. Must be able to operate machinery according to instructions.

Complete paperwork and ensure tasks are completed safely and on time. Must make decisions regarding the transfer of incoming and outgoing inventory.

Must be alert, ambitious, hard-working, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Warehouse Worker

· Set up machinery for operation

· Start machinery and adjust machinery when necessary to improve performance.

· Operate machinery and equipment according to instructions

· Troubleshoot issues and perform maintenance

· Perform quality control, follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to the supervisor.

· Comply with all safety and health regulations

· Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in the work area.

· Stack merchandise on racks.

· Stock warehouse with tools.

· Ensure machinery is serviced and functional.

· Check in merchandise and affix labels.

· Match purchase orders to sales orders and distribute them to sales associates for processing.

· Fulfill customer orders.

· Move materials off racks and package them for shipment.

· Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items.

· Follow all safety codes.

· Place merchandise on pallets or shelves for distribution.

· Record amounts of materials or items received.

· Perform facilities maintenance.

· Sort material according to size, type, style, color, or product code.

· Carry out tasks as assigned by the warehouse supervisor/manager.
