Performs various operations, including unloading, picking, packing, counting, and checking items to maintain inventory. Being a Warehouse Worker operates hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, motorized conveyors, or other material handling equipment according to safety policies and procedures. May view or input information into a warehouse management system (WMS), enterprise resource system (ERP), or other database. Additionally, Warehouse Worker typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Warehouse Worker works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Warehouse Worker Tasks & Duties (What You'll Do)
- Receive and unload pallets and products
- Perform general labor duties as required
- Move items around warehouse
- Carefully handle fragile merchandise
- Track and document exact shipment arrival and departure times
- Tag and label merchandise
- Categorize and label merchandise according to size, shape, and type
- Prepare all orders for shipment
- Record and manage all impaired or damaged merchandise items
- Operate appropriate warehouse machinery (for example, forklift)
- Enter data in inventory and logistics software programs
- Move product from and to pallets
- Wrap and prepare pallets for shipping
Warehouse Worker Shift Info
- Day Shift, 08:00 am to 07:00 pm
- Monday - Thursday
Warehouse Worker Qualifications (Requirements / Skills)
- Solid work history that demonstrates reliability; warehouse work experience is a plus
- Able to work on your feet for 8-hour shifts and lift 30 lbs. regularly
- Basic computer skills for maintaining inventory logs and databases
- Good communication skills
- Able to move items around warehouse
- Warehouse Worker experience preferred
- Able to pass a background check
- Able to work in the US.
