Waste Management Manager develops and implements procedures for the disposal of hazardous or contaminated materials per governmental regulations. Oversees the design and implementation of waste inspection, handling, and disposal systems. Being a Waste Management Manager trains staff in the safe and proper handling of waste materials. Monitors and reviews regulations and trends and maintains effective waste management policies and procedures that support business operations. Additionally, Waste Management Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Waste Management Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Waste Management Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. We're looking for candidates who take pride in hard work, being a team player, and making a difference in our community.Waste Expert non-CDL Driver Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a non-CDL company vehicle working together with an Assistant to complete tasks on a scheduled route.
- Report to shift and perform work daily with required personal protective equipment including but not limited to the steel toe, puncture-resistant boots.
- Safely utilize equipment and tools to complete work assignments (such as waste caddies, chute doors, tow hitches, compactors, ladders, etc.)
- Conduct weekly truck inspections and report any issues.
- Service assigned properties on site by:
- Sorting trash, recycling, and compostable waste into appropriate containers.
- Hauling bulky items off-site.
- Manually compacting waste.
- Sweeping/cleaning enclosures, trash rooms, and trash chute.
Manage daily route assignments by:- Noting start and completion times.
- Taking before/after photos of services performed.
- Communicate with relevant departments to report/resolve issues and maintain a high-quality service.
- Submit appropriate paperwork as required to communicate notes and maintain route assignment.
Waste Expert non-CDL Driver Shifts:- Full Time.
- Monday - Friday: 4:00 AM start.
- Overtime as required.
Waste Expert non-CDL Driver Qualifications and Physical Requirements:- Valid non-CDL driver’s license and clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years or more than 2 minor violations including handheld device in the last 3 years).
- Frequently lift items weighing 80 lbs.
- Push/maneuver dumpsters and compactors weighing more than 500 lbs.
- Stepping in/out of waste containers safely with the use of a ladder as well as climbing several flights of stairs.
- Work independently to complete daily assignments.
- Work well with others in a team environment.
- Strong time management skills.
