Summary
This position supports the organization by being responsible for the management of all revenue billing for investment recovery efforts under Oncor Waste Management, ensuring timely invoicing and payments by vendors per contract terms. Other duties include vendor data management, invoice processing and tracking. This position is also responsible for maintaining efficient processes, solid communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Directly or through others, the incumbent:
- Ensure timely revenue invoicing and payments by vendors for all Investment Recovery efforts under Waste Management including but not limited to the following revenue streams: scrap metal, used/reclaimed oil, wood poles, drained electrical equipment, drained transformers, and auction items.
- Understands compliance with existing waste management contract terms and conditions for all investment recovery revenue streams
- Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental laws and regulations as well as Department of Transportation shipping regulations
- Work effectively with Accounts Receivable staff as well as cross-functionally with peers and upper management to accomplish departmental goals
- Maintain accurate records
- Research and resolve accounts receivable issues with vendors such as on-account funds, duplicate invoices, or aged-invoices
- Investigates service delivery and invoicing discrepancies in order to resolve billing issues for Oncor Waste Management
- Perform data entry and analysis
- Monitor the American Metals Market Daily for metal price changes and to ensure proper revenue for each commodity and to forecast and identify trends in the market and will, with the help of others, review and assure that the best market price is obtained for such revenue streams
- Produce monthly revenue reports for management as needed to support Investment Recovery efforts
- Develop and maintain monthly reports for management including tonnage, commodity prices, transportation fees and revenue by project/location to provide and auditable record
- Develop and run assorted queries and reports to assist the organization in the accomplishments of their tasks and goals
- Coordinate and complete significant special projects independently or in cooperation with other groups
- Performs complex administrative activities that require independent initiative and excellent judgment
- Develops and maintains relationship with Oncor supervisory, Supply Chain and Accounting support personnel
- Develops and prepares ad-hoc project cost reports through queries in FIM and other database services provided through Oncor Waste Management
- Ensures all W2MW TRACs associated with Investment Recovery vendors and revenue are up to date including invoice and payment information and are closed on a monthly bases.
- Will assist in providing numbers for the annual End of Year Report.
- Performs all essential functions of the job as well as other specific job requirements.
Education, Experience, & Skills
Qualifications sought in successful candidates include the following:
- Strong knowledge of FIM.
- Strong proficiency in Excel spreadsheet functionality.
- Strong proficiency in Access databases.
- Strong analytical, organization and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills for interfacing throughout all levels of the Oncor organization.
- Demonstrates initiative and originates productive actions without specific instructions generating new ideas, processes and approaches to meet business needs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; must be team-oriented.
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent is required
- Must be able to learn Texas State and Use Tax accrual regulations
Preferred background and knowledge:
- 3 years of accounting/billing experience
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree
- Lean Six Sigma experience is a plus
- Waste Management or Investment Recovery Experience is a plus

- Exhibits knowledge and understanding of Oncor Waste Management billing and contractual terms with all vendors dealing with Investment Recovery
