Waste Management Manager develops and implements procedures for the disposal of hazardous or contaminated materials per governmental regulations. Oversees the design and implementation of waste inspection, handling, and disposal systems. Being a Waste Management Manager trains staff in the safe and proper handling of waste materials. Monitors and reviews regulations and trends and maintains effective waste management policies and procedures that support business operations. Additionally, Waste Management Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Waste Management Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.     In this role, the ideal candidate must be a self-directed, results orientated leader who understands how to be in service to the team. This includes responsibility and comprehensive management of the landfill operations. Overseeing personnel, recruitment, training, financial oversight (budgeting and P&L), and collaboration with local authorities to ensure environmental and contractual compliance.

    • Operational Improvement: Analyze budget, actual and forecast performance to identify opportunities to enhance processes, changes procedures, and modify behaviors to improve performance and get results.

    • Financial Oversight: Participate in routine P&L evaluations, ensuring budget adherence. Develop and execute programs for optimal equipment utilization, maintenance, and cost management.

    Requirements:

    • Education/Experience: bachelor's degree preferred or demonstrated record of serving in an operational environment requiring leadership, management, and analytical skills.
      • Five (5) or more years of experience in the waste or landfill industry or equivalent combination of required education and experience.
    • Supervisory Experience: Previous experience overseeing teams in landfill, construction, or environmental sectors.
    • Willingness to Relocate: A readiness to relocate for upcoming promotional prospects.

    Salary: $110,000-$120,000 Annually

    Bonus: 0-10%
