Upper Montgomery Joint Authority located in Pennsburg, PA, is seeking a full-time licensed wastewater plant operator. Current PADEP Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator's License preferred, but not required.
The minimum requirement is a Class C, E, subclass 1, 4 PADEP Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator's License or the ability to obtain certification as a condition of employment.
The Authority operates an activated sludge treatment plant, six pump stations and collection system. The position is responsible for the operation, maintenance and repairs of the treatment plants, pump stations and collection system to ensure an efficient and safe operation. Duties include monitoring and maintaining the wastewater treatment system to ensure compliance with specific regulatory standards and requirements.
Basic knowledge of mechanics, plumbing, electric, problem solving, and safety practices are preferred. Experience with Google Docs, SCADA, GIS and computer skills a plus. Must be able to work weekends and holidays on a rotating schedule. Candidates will be subject to a pre-employment drug and background check and a valid PA driver's license is required.
