As a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator, you will gain progressively responsible experience in the maintenance, operation, and regulatory compliance of the large and complex sewage treatment plant at Prince Gallitzin State Park. The running of the plant is a (7) day a week operation and you may be scheduled to work weekends, evenings, and holidays. In this role, you will assist with the operation, maintenance and repair of various electric motors, pumps, compressors, valves, sand filters, chlorinators, aerators, water softeners, flow meters, liquid level mercury switches and related equipment. You will also assist in collecting wastewater samples and performing chemistry tests, as well as the preparation of all regular reports for the sewer and water systems.
