The Water Plant Superintendent performs difficult technical and responsible administrative work overseeing the operations and maintenance of water pumping and purification facilities to provide quality potable water in adequate quantities to meet demands of residential, commercial, and industrial customers and maintain appropriate reserves to meet A-1 fire protection criteria; does related work as required. Position is subject to being called in on weekends and holidays, inclement weather, shift work and rotating shifts as required. Work is performed under general supervision of the Assistant Director. Supervision is exercised over other plant personnel.
