Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager supervises the operations and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant to ensure compliance with regulatory procedures and reporting practices. Oversees sampling and testing systems, and the testing and maintenance of pumps, conveyors, blowers, and other equipment. Being a Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager ensures staff is up-to-date with all federal, state, and local regulations and environmental guidelines. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or other tech degree. Additionally, Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager typically reports to a manager or director. The Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     What you'll do
    You will provide strategic direction and lead, mentor and develop staff. You will drive business development and implement and drive the firm's strategic vision to expand our water resources efforts. You will also lead and coordinate our efforts across our 11 markets. Besides managing and prioritizing multiple projects and assignments, you will lead technical designs and evaluations. You will develop scope, schedule and budget for new projects, and you will prepare proposals and sell services to retain and obtain clients. You will provide work to direct reports to maintain billable utilization.

    We promote a team environment, so you'll work with fellow engineers, environmental scientists and many more people. And you'll develop leadership skills that build autonomy.

    What it takes
    We're looking for someone with a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. You should be a licensed Professional Engineer in Wisconsin, Illinois and/or Iowa. You must have a minimum of five years of relevant project/client management experience with water resources, stormwater, sediment control, erosion and Department of Transportation stream restoration/design.

    You should have relevant experience directly supervising staff and technical experience on a variety of water resources projects. You must have engineering consulting experience.

    You should speak and write well. And you should have strong analytical and organizational skills. You must be a team player.
