The City is a partner and the managing agency and water treatment plant operator for the Joint Water Commission, which serves over 450,000 customers in Washington County, Oregon. The Water Department is a partner and water treatment plant operator for the Willamette Water Supply System which is currently under construction.
The The Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Manager will oversee total operations related to the WTP staff and budgets. Responsibilities include overseeing operation and maintenance of the WTP, including repair of water treatment equipment, facilities and systems; identifying resource needs; participating in the development of water goals and objectives; planning and participating in the most difficult duties related to maintenance, operation and repair; and assisting with budget development and tracking.
This position requires a strategic thinker and technical leader. This manager must work well with others, yet be able to hold others accountable and ensure work is completed in a timely and effective manner. The work completed here impacts the safe drinking water for over 450,000 customers.
