    Position Summary:

    As the Regional Operations Manager, you will oversee multiple treatment facilities within a designated region, reporting directly to the Vice President of Plant Operations. Your responsibilities include leading a team of supervisors, technicians, and administrative staff to ensure the safe, efficient, and regulatory-compliant operation of all plants. You'll prioritize fostering a culture of continuous improvement and employee development. Additionally, exceptional customer service is crucial, ensuring that client interactions and service delivery uphold the highest standards of quality and professionalism.

    Some of the things you will do:

    Operations and Project Management

    • Understand project purchase order/contract requirements and ensure compliance with contractual specifications.
    • Drive operational excellence by identifying process improvement opportunities and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Serve as a liaison with clients, maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
    • Support Project Manager, and each site, by assisting in invoicing, aiding Lead Operator in inventory management, collaborating with relevant parties to maintain budgetary integrity, and contributing to preparation of Readiness Review materials.
    • As a Regional Operations Manager, your role will be pivotal in fostering strong customer relationships by delivering exceptional service and communication. Your primary responsibility will be to effectively manage customer expectations and ensure their needs are met. Additionally, you will play a key role in driving the success of new projects and advancing the company's operational initiatives.

    Manage Onsite Personnel

    • Lead a team of operation personnel at multiple sites in order to meet the treatment objectives at each site.
    • Evaluate and hire Operations personnel, including operators, maintenance, instrumentation, and electrical personnel.
    • Implement Operations Procedures, train new operators, and provide ongoing support.
    • Report onsite personnel hours to external customers.
    • Develop and oversee startup/commissioning schedules for Operations personnel teams at multiple sites.

    Safety

    • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations by implementing robust safety protocols and conducting regular staff training sessions.
    • Maintain records of all safety trainings and adhere to the latest site safety requirements.
    • Collaborate closely with the Safety Manager to ensure efficient completion of all safety trainings and keep detailed records of site safety requirements up to date.

    Here are the skills that you need:

    • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent with extensive experience.
    • Minimum 3 years water operations experience, including 1 year in leadership.
    • Extensive knowledge of water treatment plant operations and regulatory standards.
    • Calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and skilled in multi-project management.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows-based applications.
    • Flexible to frequent travel (approx. 25% each month), positive attitude, and dedicated to project success.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
    • 7 years water treatment operations experience, including 3 years in leadership
    • Extensive knowledge of treatment plant operations and regulatory standards.
    • Proven leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
