Waste Water Treatment Technician ensures that pumps, conveyors, blowers, chlorinators, vacuum equipment and other waste water treatment equipment are functioning properly. Monitors equipment for potential failures and may make minor repairs or adjustments as needed. Being a Waste Water Treatment Technician collects water samples for chemical analysis. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Additionally, Waste Water Treatment Technician typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Waste Water Treatment Technician works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. We are seeking a confident, safety-oriented water treatment Superintendent/Technician with good commercial instincts to complement our Water Treatment Group based in Rockaway, NJ. In this position the candidate will be expected to travel regionally on a frequent basis. The Water Treatment group handles all temporary water treatment work for the company.
In this hands-on position, you will be responsible for on-site project supervision including management of field labor, equipment, materials, safety, and production.
Other duties will include:
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of progressive field/shop experience working in the groundwater treatment industry. Strong leadership and communication skills are required.
