Waste Water Treatment Technician ensures that pumps, conveyors, blowers, chlorinators, vacuum equipment and other waste water treatment equipment are functioning properly. Monitors equipment for potential failures and may make minor repairs or adjustments as needed. Being a Waste Water Treatment Technician collects water samples for chemical analysis. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Additionally, Waste Water Treatment Technician typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Waste Water Treatment Technician works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.     Summary of Job Duties:

    The Field Operations Technician is responsible for operations and maintenance of the VOX evaporators and the associated equipment. This position is the eyes and ears for operations management and requires excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Primary work environment is outdoor, on pad and will require the candidate to work alongside customers’ field operations teams and represent EWS in a positive and professional manner.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conducts site inspections of VOX and all associated equipment for compliance with requisite procedures; generates reports and recommendations based on findings.
    • Responds to emergency situations and/or incidents, as appropriate.
    • Assists in the completion of incident investigation and preparation of Incident Reports and Root Cause Analysis Reports (as needed) and assist in the development of corrective actions and oversee their implementation.
    • Working/proven knowledge of oil and gas industry.
    • Basic knowledge of federal and state regulations (OSHA, EPA, PADEP).
    • Strong analytical and electro-mechanical problem-solving capability.
    • Flexibility around work schedule and ability to travel as required.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work successfully individually as well as with a wide variety of people at different levels within and outside the organization.
    • Ability to keep company propriety information confidential.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals, and engineered drawings.
    • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
    • Takes ownership and accountability of equipment and operations on assigned site(s).
    • Independent thinker with a willingness to learn.
    • Ensure company vehicles are properly maintained for safety, appearance, and mechanical longevity.
    • Always represent EWS as a professional in appearance and demeanor, even when not “on the clock”.
    • Attends client meetings and industry conferences/work groups (as required) to keep abreast of industry and customer-standard and emerging policies and trend to maintain Operational/safety compliance.

    Physical Demands:

    • Lifting 100 lbs.
    • Carrying 50 lbs.
    • Climbing (narrow stairs, ladders etc.)
    • Climb Heights (over 7’)

    Location of Job Activities:

    • Outdoors - 90%
    • Indoors (vehicle) - 10%
    • Travel Required - 70% between satellite locations in multiple counties.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee/Field Ops. Technician is regularly required to stand, reach, walk and lift. The employee/Field Ops. Tech. must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, may be occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles, and is regularly exposed to extreme heat or cold, or temperatures consistent with outdoor weather.

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma
    • Minimum of 2 years proven experience in the oil and gas industry preferred.
    • Have basic mechanical, plumbing, and electrical skills.
    • Working knowledge of MS Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word)
    • Valid Driver’s License.
    • Forklift Operation Certification
    • Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to get things done under pressure.
    • Desire to work in team-oriented culture
