Waste Water Treatment Technician ensures that pumps, conveyors, blowers, chlorinators, vacuum equipment and other waste water treatment equipment are functioning properly. Monitors equipment for potential failures and may make minor repairs or adjustments as needed. Being a Waste Water Treatment Technician collects water samples for chemical analysis. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Additionally, Waste Water Treatment Technician typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Waste Water Treatment Technician works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. WATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR I
Full-time career opportunity available to operate a 6 million gallons per day (MGD) Trident Microfloc facility for the City of Laconia’s drinking water. NH Water Treatment Operator I or ability to obtain within a year. High school diploma or greater, NH driver’s license. Duties include operation and maintenance of treatment plant, booster stations, water tanks and water quality testing. Schedule is not a traditional M-F, inquire for detailed information. Requires rotating 1st and 2nd shift with alternating weekends and holidays with rotating on-call hours. Candidate must be dependable, detail oriented, able to work as a team as well as independently. Salary range is $22.01-$27.49. Benefit package and New Hampshire Retirement System. Must live within 30 minutes of Laconia.
