Waste Water Treatment Technician jobs in Jacksonville, FL
Waste Water Treatment Technician ensures that pumps, conveyors, blowers, chlorinators, vacuum equipment and other waste water treatment equipment are functioning properly. Monitors equipment for potential failures and may make minor repairs or adjustments as needed. Being a Waste Water Treatment Technician collects water samples for chemical analysis. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Additionally, Waste Water Treatment Technician typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Waste Water Treatment Technician works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Evoqua is looking for a Water Treatment Technician to report to our Jacksonville, FL branch and service our equipment at customer sites in the surrounding area.What your day will look like as a Water Treatment TechnicianThe Water Treatment Technician will be responsible for the installation, service, and maintenance of our water purification equipment, utilizing a company service vehicle, within our Light Industries Division. Equipment specific training will be provided. - 2-5 years technical experience including industrial or commercial process water experience
- Basic controls ability (PLC)
- Experience with Microsoft office, including the ability to utilize smart devices
- Ability to work in a high customer facing position
- Ability to identify and remedy potential safety concerns
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and DOT physicals
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
