Waste Water Treatment Technician ensures that pumps, conveyors, blowers, chlorinators, vacuum equipment and other waste water treatment equipment are functioning properly. Monitors equipment for potential failures and may make minor repairs or adjustments as needed. Being a Waste Water Treatment Technician collects water samples for chemical analysis. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Additionally, Waste Water Treatment Technician typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Waste Water Treatment Technician works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. The purpose of this position is for the operation of a highly technical water treatment and distribution process. The Operations Technician I shall endeavor to meet or exceed all state and federal water quality standards and regulations; meet or exceed Board policies, goals and expectations; promote security of WaterOne’s water system; make routine decisions concerning process chemistry, chemical dosage, mechanical equipment operations and distribution system operation; balance flows to basins and reservoirs and maintain system water storage requirements. This position is also responsible for promoting safety, environmental stewardship and cost efficiency.
**The schedule for this position is Friday/Saturday 5:30pm-7am and Sunday 6pm-7am.

Pay Range starts from $22.45/hr and up.
