Waste Water Treatment Technician ensures that pumps, conveyors, blowers, chlorinators, vacuum equipment and other waste water treatment equipment are functioning properly. Monitors equipment for potential failures and may make minor repairs or adjustments as needed. Being a Waste Water Treatment Technician collects water samples for chemical analysis. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Additionally, Waste Water Treatment Technician typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Waste Water Treatment Technician works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Job Overview:
CGC Water Treatment Service Technician serves the customer by helping them make informed decisions regarding their home/business water quality and the products which will best meet their needs. This includes communicating with customers, installing water treatment systems, as well as servicing customer equipment. Located in Iron Station; servicing Mooresville, Charlotte, Asheville, Fort Mill, Pineville, Matthews, Monroe, Indian Trail, Rock Hill, Waxhaw, Indian Land and more.
The Technician performs a variety of duties, including, but not limited to:- Provide exceptional customer service through the installation, service and sales of water treatment systems
- Driving to appointments, loading van with supplies, maintaining a clean and organized vehicle
- Exercising care through the use of safety procedures and equipment
Qualifications & Abilities:- No experience necessary. Will provide thorough training
- Generally handy - Skillful with mechanical type tasks, plumbing experience a bonus
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Driver’s License (Required)
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:- Working alone and in teams
- Ability to be in a van for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 80lbs, including up and down stairs
