Waste Water Treatment Technician jobs in Yakima, WA

Waste Water Treatment Technician ensures that pumps, conveyors, blowers, chlorinators, vacuum equipment and other waste water treatment equipment are functioning properly. Monitors equipment for potential failures and may make minor repairs or adjustments as needed. Being a Waste Water Treatment Technician collects water samples for chemical analysis. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Additionally, Waste Water Treatment Technician typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Waste Water Treatment Technician works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. This position spans numerous disciplines such as electrical work, plumbing, and carpentry. Responsible for the comprehensive understanding of preservation techniques, standard equipment, and the use of basic hand and power tools. These technicians shine as adept problem-solvers with communication abilities and organizational talents.

    RESPONSIBLITIES

    • Conduct thorough examinations of structures, machinery, and various systems to pinpoint existing problems.
    • Able to repair broken appliances and restore compromised infrastructures.
    • Routinely perform quality assessments on machinery and infrastructure to confirm they meet the required standards.
    • Assist with the creation and execution of the budget for the maintenance division.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

    Education:

    High School Diploma or GED Preferred

    Experience:

    Experience in a similar role.
