Wealth Management Specialist develops individualized wealth management financial plans and recommendations to help clients attain financial goals by selecting investment solutions to minimize risk and grow wealth. Uses broad knowledge of investment products to educate clients on available investment options and create planning scenarios for retirement, education savings, and other financial objectives. Being a Wealth Management Specialist keeps abreast of economic conditions and new financial products to inform and advise clients on potential enhancements to existing financial plans and create up-sell opportunities. Monitors client portfolios to ensure appropriate risk profile. Additionally, Wealth Management Specialist follows all regulatory and organizational policies and procedures. May be involved with selling or coordinating the purchase of additional financial products or services to clients. Requires a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or equivalent. May have the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. Typically reports to a manager. The Wealth Management Specialist work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. We have an opening for a Client Administration Officer in our Williamsburg, VA office. This is an established role with existing client relationships. Will manage and supervise the administration of assigned accounts, IRA entities, investment accounts, and estates. Will work closely with clients, guardians, attorneys, realtors, and agents; make court appearances at audits or other proceedings; and manage estate settlements, including working with beneficiaries to manage and distribute assets. Will develop new business and confer with potential clients.
This is a great opportunity for a candidate with related experience in trusts/estates, law, banking, financial services/planning, or wealth management. Must have proven relationship-management skills, high attention to detail and accuracy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to make critical decisions independently. Knowledge of basic accounting/tax principles and common asset characteristics is preferred. This is a full-time, in-office position (not hybrid). Must have a bachelor’s degree.
