Wealth Management Specialist develops individualized wealth management financial plans and recommendations to help clients attain financial goals by selecting investment solutions to minimize risk and grow wealth. Uses broad knowledge of investment products to educate clients on available investment options and create planning scenarios for retirement, education savings, and other financial objectives. Being a Wealth Management Specialist keeps abreast of economic conditions and new financial products to inform and advise clients on potential enhancements to existing financial plans and create up-sell opportunities. Monitors client portfolios to ensure appropriate risk profile. Additionally, Wealth Management Specialist follows all regulatory and organizational policies and procedures. May be involved with selling or coordinating the purchase of additional financial products or services to clients. Requires a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or equivalent. May have the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. Typically reports to a manager. The Wealth Management Specialist work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.     The position of Wealth Administrative Officer, Wealth Management Group is responsible for the administrative duties of the department and assisting trust officer as needed. They help facilitate the daily operation of the department.

    These duties will be performed in accordance with established policies and procedures, and this individual assures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

    • Personal Trusts:Types and data processes documents necessary for administration of trust accounts. Performs additional administrative duties necessary for administration of trust accounts;Fields customer questions to provide trust officer more flexibility to perform more detailed responsibilities and make customer calls;Has direct contact with customers on a daily basis performing special projects (e.g. contacting utility companies with problems, lining up plumbers, repairmen, arranging for sitter services, etc.);Reconcile year-end accountings and computer income distributions for those accounts that require them;Gathers reports for customers, CPAs, attorneys, and others.
    • Performs administrative duties for the daily operation of the department: answering the phone and fielding administrator calls; filing; correspondence; send out client reports; greet visitors, make appointments, keep track of calendars, filing and other general administrative work.
    • Prepares documents for the opening of new accounts, verifying that newly opened accounts comply with BSA and CIP requirements. Meet with the prospects to sign documents, gather information.
    • Will learn and train on the new trust system.
    • Could essentially assist trust operations officers with daily department functions.

    • Complies with Bank Secrecy Act, including related policies and procedures, and promptly reports suspicious activity to the BSA Officer.

    • Performs the position safely, without endangering the health or safety to themselves or others and will be expected to report potentially unsafe conditions. The employee shall comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations and orders issued pursuant to the OSHA Act of 1970, which are applicable to one’s own actions and conduct.

    SECONDARY DUTIES

    The position of Wealth Administrative Assistant performs duties specific to the position and other functions as assigned.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

    The position of Wealth Administrative Assistant has no supervisory responsibilities.

    ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

    The employee is in a non-confined office-type setting in which he or she is free to move about at will. The position includes driving a Bank or personal owned vehicle approximately 5% of the time which includes exposure to the outside weather elements and moving mechanical parts. It may include some minor annoyances such as noise, odors, drafts, etc.

    Occasional travel may be required to attend in-state and potentially out-of-state schools and/or seminars.

    The employee in the course of performing this position spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, lifting (up to 25 pounds), carrying, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, pulling, walking, standing, squatting, kneeling and reaching.

    The employee for this position may operate any or all of the following: telephone, cellular telephone, beeper, copy and fax machines, adding machine (calculator), check protector, microfilm equipment, encoder, money counter, credit card terminal, typewriter, computer terminal, personal computer and related printers.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • High school diploma; or certificate from college or technical school; or 1 year related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related.
    • Basic knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations, and other Bank policies.
    • Basic skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; mainframe computer system; word processing, spreadsheet and specialty software programs.
    • Basic typing skills to meet production needs of the position.
    • Basic math skills; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio and percent.
    • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, and speak clearly to customers and employees.
    • Good organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to work with general supervision while performing duties.
    • Current Arkansas driver's license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
