Wealth Management Specialist develops individualized wealth management financial plans and recommendations to help clients attain financial goals by selecting investment solutions to minimize risk and grow wealth. Uses broad knowledge of investment products to educate clients on available investment options and create planning scenarios for retirement, education savings, and other financial objectives. Being a Wealth Management Specialist keeps abreast of economic conditions and new financial products to inform and advise clients on potential enhancements to existing financial plans and create up-sell opportunities. Monitors client portfolios to ensure appropriate risk profile. Additionally, Wealth Management Specialist follows all regulatory and organizational policies and procedures. May be involved with selling or coordinating the purchase of additional financial products or services to clients. Requires a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or equivalent. May have the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. Typically reports to a manager. The Wealth Management Specialist work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. To be a Wealth Management Specialist typically requires 4 -7 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

Client Service Specialist

  • Job Purpose:     Responsible for providing friendly assistance to Client Relationship Specialists, Associate Wealth Advisors, Wealth Advisors, and clients for specified operations support.  Responsible for effective preparation and processing of client account paperwork, cashiering, account service, and data entry/maintenance.   

    Essential Job Duties:                                                   

    1. PREPARES AND PROCESSES NEW ACCOUNT PAPERWORK AND TRANSFERS FOR NEW AND EXISTING CLIENTS.  Prepares and processes new account paperwork and transfers for clients.  Prepares and processes closing account and maintenance for clients.  Works with service teams and clients as needed to obtain necessary information.     
    1. COMMUNICATES WITH CUSTODIANS.  Interacts with custodians for necessary client requests as well as check on the status for client transactions.
    1. PROVIDES SPECIFIED ACCOUNT SERVICE AND SUPPORT.  Processes client address changes, beneficiary changes, account registrations, and client updates, including changes with custodian(s). 
    1. COMPLETES OPERATIONAL TASKS.  Reviews and acts upon custodian alerts.  Scans documents to Worldox.  Assists with lead and client record entry and updates in CRM as needed.
    1. CONTRIBUTES TO TEAM EFFORT.  Interacts with other employees to promote smooth workflow, identify and resolve problems, advance the firm’s image and accomplish results which support the mission of JFS Wealth Advisors.

    Other Duties and responsibilities

    1. Performs a variety of duties such as making copies, preparing spreadsheets, assisting in special projects.
    1. Possesses a working knowledge of JFS’ compliance and operational policies and procedures and abides by them while fulfilling this position’s various responsibilities.

    Education and/or Experience:                                                    

    Associate's degree from an accredited college or university; or a minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Language Skills:                                                             

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

    Mathematical Skills:                                                     

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    Reasoning Ability:                                                         

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Computer Skills:                                                            

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Contact Management systems; Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

    Valid driver’s license

    Other Skills and Abilities:                                                           

    Must be proficient in the use of a PC and be able to effectively use accounting, financial and related software.  Must have excellent verbal communication ability.
