Wealth Management Specialist, Sr. develops individualized wealth management financial plans and recommendations to help clients attain financial goals by selecting investment solutions to minimize risk and grow wealth. Uses broad knowledge of investment products to educate clients on available investment options and create planning scenarios for retirement, education savings, and other financial objectives. Being a Wealth Management Specialist, Sr. keeps abreast of economic conditions and new financial products to inform and advise clients on potential enhancements to existing financial plans and create up-sell opportunities. Monitors client portfolios to ensure appropriate risk profile. Additionally, Wealth Management Specialist, Sr. follows all regulatory and organizational policies and procedures. May be involved with selling or coordinating the purchase of additional financial products or services to clients. Requires a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or equivalent. Typically has the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. Typically reports to a manager. The Wealth Management Specialist, Sr. work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. To be a Wealth Management Specialist, Sr. typically requires 7+ years of related experience.     Anderson & Associates Wealth Management- Northwestern Mutual is a boutique operation that services over 500 households and has over 170 million of AUM. We are looking to add a new member that holds our organization’s core values of integrity, family, education, and service to others.

    The main responsibilities of this role are conducting meetings with clients and prospective clients; developing and implementing financial plans; prospecting and lead generation to increase our book of business; maintaining accurate and timely case notes; and fielding client inquiries via email and telephone.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • CLU®, ChFC®, and CFP® Certified Professional preferred
    • Special considerations given to candidate with 401k training, design, or implementation experience
    • Experience in customer service, preferably in the financial services and/or insurance industry
    • NYS Health and life licensed or gain licensing within 6 months of employment
    • FINRA Series 6 and 63 licensed or gain licensing within 6 months of employment, Series 7 preferred
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Familiarity with Microsoft applications and data entry
    • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills and ability to multitask, set priorities and meet deadlines
    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
    • Ability to work both independently and on a team
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
