Wealth Management Specialist, Sr. develops individualized wealth management financial plans and recommendations to help clients attain financial goals by selecting investment solutions to minimize risk and grow wealth. Uses broad knowledge of investment products to educate clients on available investment options and create planning scenarios for retirement, education savings, and other financial objectives. Being a Wealth Management Specialist, Sr. keeps abreast of economic conditions and new financial products to inform and advise clients on potential enhancements to existing financial plans and create up-sell opportunities. Monitors client portfolios to ensure appropriate risk profile. Additionally, Wealth Management Specialist, Sr. follows all regulatory and organizational policies and procedures. May be involved with selling or coordinating the purchase of additional financial products or services to clients. Requires a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or equivalent. Typically has the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. Typically reports to a manager. The Wealth Management Specialist, Sr. work is highly independent. Position Summary:
The Center for Investment and Wealth Management (CIWM) was established to address the complex issues surrounding wealth management as it affects the well-being of individuals, families and overall economic vitality. Our mission is to create and disseminate vital, applicable research and knowledge concerning the creation, management and intergenerational transfer of wealth. The Center is an integral part of The Paul Merage School of Business and seeks to add valued teaching, outreach and research programs that further the School's missions. Over a 10-year period, the Center has benefited more than 25,000 individuals, through its innovative programming.
As the first point of contact for the Center for Investment and Wealth Management (CIWM), the Program Specialist receives visitors and interacts with all levels of university administration, faculty, staff, students, distinguished guests, and a diverse public constituency. Position is responsible for office management, program planning and event management.

Required:
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Valid California driver's license
Skill and demonstrated ability to use a personal computer and word processing, spreadsheet, database computer software programs, Microsoft Outlook and the Internet. Efficient typing and proofreading skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and poise in dealing with diverse constituents in a diplomatic and professional matter, including influential community leaders, University leadership, faculty, administrative personnel, and volunteer groups. Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality. Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns. Basic skills to analyze and research information, and to develop reports, proposals and external relations materials. Basic program and project management skills. Written and conversational mastery of the Spanish language. Proven level of outstanding professionalism in providing high-level coordination for programs, meetings, grant writing, and other duties as assigned. Demonstrated superior writing skills with maximum attention to detail. Excellent ability to write acknowledgement letters, clear internal communications, and provide proof reading and input for reports and proposals, summaries of donor and prospect information, correspondence and public relations materials with minimal direction. Demonstrated experience organizing, coordinating, and executing events and year-round programs.
Preferred:
Acquiring knowledge of applicable policy analysis techniques. Knowledge of UCI administrative policies, procedures, and practices. Ability to develop slide presentations, use scanning, LCD projector and other wireless devices. Experience working in an academic University environment.
Special Conditions Required:
May be required to drive on occasion in order to perform routine or essential job responsibilities for the position. Hybrid position with some onsite work expected each week.
