Web Administrator administers and maintains the organization's websites. Monitors site traffic and performance and recommends changes in the site's technical architecture to ensure that the website remains responsive, stable, and secure. Being a Web Administrator maintains and administers websites by screening content for consistency and accuracy. Maintains related hardware and software, installs upgrades, and resolves system errors as they arise. Additionally, Web Administrator ensures the website is properly integrated with related computer systems and back-end processes. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Web Administrator work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Overview:
This is a grant-funded position that will be working with faculty and staff at the Center for Invasive Species and Ecosystem Health on the development and promotion of a citizen science data collection program for invasive species (www.wildspotter.org). This individual will also lead design of all Center websites (www.bugwood.org) and websites hosted by the Center. Specific job responsibilities include working with center leadership to design materials for Wild Spotter and Center, producing marketing/PR content across a variety of mediums, and developing graphics for Federal/State/Local partners.
