Web Applications Developer designs, develops, and maintains internal and external websites for an organization. Uses knowledge of common web development languages (e.g., HTML, Java, PHP, JSP, ASP.NET, Python, AJAX) to build and expand site functionality. Being a Web Applications Developer creates and enhances the overall website appearance using graphic/multi-media design software and designs site navigation that is clear and easy to understand. Ensures sites remain scalable while complying with performance and security standards. Additionally, Web Applications Developer updates site content based on input from marketing and documents changes in source code. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager. The Web Applications Developer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Qualifications
Required*
- Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 3 years professional experience in web application development.
- Expert with Linux, Apache, PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL.
- Extensive experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle (requirements gathering, design, coding, code review, testing, deployment, maintenance).
- An exceptional level of integrity, raw intelligence, creativity, energy, and passion.
- Lifelong learner with excellent communication skills and an effective team player.
Preferred
- Experience working with mission-critical e-commerce applications.
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure and administration.
- jQuery, DataTables, GSAP and/or other JavaScript frameworks/libraries.
- CodeIgniter PHP framework.
- GitHub/Git or other version control systems.
- Docker or other containerization platforms.
- Java and/or Python.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
