Web Content Director establishes and directs the strategic long-term goals, policies, and procedures for the curation of content utilized on web, mobile, and other platforms. Develops and directs consistent methodologies to analyze content consumption data and to define content needs. Being a Web Content Director determines the long-term resources required to accomplish the organization's business objectives. Leads negotiations with vendors to obtain content. The Director of Web Applications Development is responsible for managing concurrent web and desktop development initiatives, including project level resource assignments, time estimates, and project planning details. Lead development team through the project lifecycle, from concept design to launch to maintenance, utilizing version control, bug tracking, and related change control processes. The Director will also work closely with the other IT management staff to coordinate all IT related projects that affect multiple functional teams within the IT department and will be the lead on the project management of these initiatives. The Director will also develop all policies and procedures related to application development within the Web Applications area.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Education and
Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a business related field is required. Ten (10) years of web/desktop development experience is required and at least five (5) years of supervisory/management experience leading developers is also required. Managed care or practice management experience a plus.
Special Skills, Licenses and Certificates
Substantial programming experience in CSharp, .NET technologies, JScript, and AJAX required. Developing applications with Oracle and SQL Server 20XX SSIS and SSRS required. Experience with servers, firewalls, routers, switches, and various encryption tools preferred. Experience with EDI, HIPAA and translation software a plus. Valid California driver’s license and proof of current automobile insurance compliant with PHC policy are required to operate a vehicle and travel for company business.
Performance Based Competencies
Ability to quickly acquire in-depth knowledge of AMYSIS software and managed care issues. Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to interpret and understand technical requirements. Excellent analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve systems problems.
Work Environment And Physical Demands
More than 50% of work time is spent in front of a computer monitor. May be required to bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, or work in other non-standing and non-sitting positions to install cabling, systems hardware, and other related equipment.
