THE OPPORTUNITY

Staccato is looking for an Editorial Content Lead to join our team and drive brand recognition, credibility and growth by building a world-class content operation. Reporting into Staccato’s Chief Marketing Officer, you will build and lead Staccato’s corporate blog as well as its lifestyle blog, podcast and other editorial content. You will be a strategic and creative thought leader that partners and collaborates with stakeholders across the organization to elevate Staccato’s cultural visibility and relevance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Be a strategic filter for the brand. Ensure that all content is grounded in the brand positioning, messaging, voice and visual style
• Integrated content strategy. Lead the development of an integrated content strategy for Staccato’s corporate blog and lifestyle publication. What stories do we tell, who tells them, and in what formats and mediums do we tell them (blog posts, video series, podcast, social posts, etc.)?
• Plan the content calendar. Lead the planning, development and execution of Staccato’s content calendar, primarily across Staccato’s lifestyle publication, corporate blog and podcast
• Develop a lifestyle publication. Develop Staccato’s lifestyle publication to engage audiences through minimally branded, authentic, story-driven narratives that educate audiences about, and inspire audiences to live the Staccato lifestyle of protecting and embodying American freedoms
• Develop a corporate blog. Develop Staccato’s corporate blog to communicate its corporate narrative, product/service education and employer story
• Produce the podcast. Oversee Staccato’s podcast production to develop strategic relationships, drive brand awareness and increase audience engagement
• Elevate social media. Elevate Staccato’s owned social channels by becoming its primary source of content and storytelling
• Build a contributor network. Build a network of content contributers for blog posts and stories across channels. Develop a value exchange whereby Staccato’s publications maintain a regular cadence of new, relevant and engaging content
• Insight-driven content. Analysis of cultural, community, media, and market trends to inform content development
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 8 years experience of relevant content and media experience, leading, developing, and inspiring high-performing content teams
• Demonstrable portfolio of high-impact content
• Proven ability to work within tight deadlines, adjust to changes in priorities, and balance short-term needs with long-term strategic initiatives
• Demonstrable experience and literacy in content analytics, proving the impact of content across the business
• Experience building a contributor network
• Success influencing and managing stakeholders across the organization to get alignment on initiatives and execute work on time and budget
• Experience pitching and communicating content and its connection to the business to C-level executives
