Web Content Director establishes and directs the strategic long-term goals, policies, and procedures for the curation of content utilized on web, mobile, and other platforms. Develops and directs consistent methodologies to analyze content consumption data and to define content needs. Being a Web Content Director determines the long-term resources required to accomplish the organization's business objectives. Leads negotiations with vendors to obtain content. Additionally, Web Content Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Web Content Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Web Content Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Training Content Developer

  • Purpose:

    The LMS Content Developer and Lead Trainer designs and develops relevant and engaging training materials, including videos, eLearning modules, workbooks, instructor guides and job aids. This person will also act as the Lead Trainer for designated in person leadership skills training.  In training, promotes a fun and positive learning experience for all team members. This position is open to be located at any of our US locations. 

    Essential Functions:

    • Uses multimedia skills to design and develop new learning materials including videos, elearning modules, workbooks, instructor guides and job aids that drive organizational learning and results.
    • Works with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure quality and accuracy of all materials.
    • Continuously improves existing materials and course effectiveness to ensure training is user friendly, engaging, and current using team member evaluation forms from learning sessions.
    • Provides support to evaluate, analyze and report on training effectiveness.
    • Tracks program evaluations and test results.
    • Works with video production and graphic sources to produce final versions of course materials.
    • Uploads content, manages learning pathways, runs reports, and enrolls mandatory training.
    • Clearly communicates project status.
    • Responsible for building relationships and supporting engagement, communication, and team member relations within the organization.
    • Develops and implements curriculum for learning programs, both leadership and technical, for all team members.
    • Keeps abreast of changes made to policies and procedures and incorporates these changes into materials.
    • Coordinates with sites on creating comprehensive onboarding plans for all new team members.
    • Determines instructional methodologies such as individual learning, workshops, on the job training, video viewing, role play, etc. to maximize effectiveness for all learning programs.
    • Maintains a fun and engaging learning environment.
    • Responsible for conducting workshops and training for the NSG team as needed either virtual or in person.
    • Adherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its Values and Principles.
    • Other duties as assigned. 

    Scope/Dimensions:

    • Interacts with North American Automotive, Architectural and Solar facilities, Distribution Centers, Service Centers, Technical Centers which includes employees and contractors at these sites.
    • 40% travel required, may vary based on business need.

    Qualifications Required:

    • Experience with software design tools such as; Articulate Suite, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro), and other similar design software.
    • Experience building online and in-person courses for adult learners from the ground up.
    • Experience writing video scripts and video production.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Training, Marketing, Communications, English, Digital Design, or related field and previous experience with developing and delivering training.
    • Without degree, courses in digital marketing, content creation and previous related experience in developing and delivering training curriculums.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
    • Ability to comprehend technical terminology.
    • Ability to compile and analyze data and prepare reports.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of team members and management
    • Learning Management System Experience.
    • Able to work in US without sponsorship.
    • Must have valid driver’s license and maintain acceptable MVR (Motor vehicle report) as defined by safety requirements.

    Qualifications Desired:

    • Proficient with training development software (Articulate Rise, Absorb Create, Tango, DeepHow, etc.).
    • Experience with multimedia production is a plus.

    Other Requirements:

    • Hybrid work option. Individual must be available to travel and work on site at various locations as needed.
    • Physical requirements include the ability to sit, stand, walk, reach with arms/hands, use hands, use close vision, talk, and hear. Must also be able to lift/move occasionally up to 20 pounds.  Reasonable accommodations may be considered to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
