The marketing team plays a key strategic role in the success of delivering a superior customer experience. That is why we are looking for a Web Experience Designer who will be responsible for delivering world-class design toward Web UI/UX, landing pages, mobile applications, and other online channels for the corporate brand as well as the Carolina Cat brand and its sub-brands. This role will partner with the marketing team to ensure web experiences accurately reflect company goals, objectives and identity. They will recommend and defend decisions that best fit the needs of diverse projects based on a strong understanding of best practices, while considering user experiences, site usage analytics, information architecture and other technological requirements and limitations.

    The Web Experience Designer will also be responsible for advising, maintaining and operating Carolina Cat’s Salesforce Marketing Cloud Personalization solution. This role will be expected to serve as the SME in delivering personalized web experiences to our audience, responsible for designing, developing and troubleshooting new or existing experiences online. They will closely partner with the marketing automation team to support all journey execution as those experiences extend into dealer sites.

    The ideal candidate is a creative individual with a strategic mindset and is well-versed in HTML, CSS and responsive design, with prior experience working in marketing automation systems and designing persona-based experiences.

    Essential Functions

    Strategic Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with marketing specialists to produce relevant web content and experiences that meet the needs of both key stakeholders and our audience
    • Partner with Digital Marketing Manager on planning and execution of home-grown customer portals and applications to deliver self-service experiences to our customers
    • Coordinate with marketing automation team on planned external marketing campaigns and journeys to provide support and execution on personalized experiences for the end-user on our dealer websites
    • Work with vendor partner to execute web initiatives for all Weisiger Group owned sites, including the creation, maintenance and debugging of current and new sites

    Technical Responsibilities

    • Responsible for developing design elements and layouts for customer websites and web applications deployed on Wordpress and Makeswift CMS platforms, in addition to cloud pages via Salesforce Marketing Cloud
    • Regularly maintain all product catalogs across dealer sites, updating inventory, pricing, and other e-commerce functionalities
    • Collaborate with vendor partner to improve website usability, accessibility and performance
    • Identify and troubleshoot UI and UX problems based on customer feedback, analytics and business needs
    • Manage sitemap code, tags and catalog in partnership with vendor partners
    • Create custom Marketing Cloud Personalization templates
    • Implement Salesforce Einstein recipes and associated configurations
    • Manage integrations to and from Marketing Cloud Personalization

    Analytical Responsibilities

    • Provide timely, in-depth analysis on web performance on websites relative to ROI targets, recommending pivots and improvements where needed.
    • Monitor performance of Marketing Cloud Personalization assets, providing recommendations on how we can optimize our messaging and touchpoints where needed.

    Continuous Learning

    • Stays current with certification of Salesforce marketing platforms, specifically around Marketing Cloud Personalization
    • Maintain knowledge of graphic and web design trends, developments and best user-centered practices.

    Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience

    • Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in Web Design, Marketing, Computer Science or related discipline required
    • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in web design and production
    • Front- and back-end experience with an emphasis on front-end development in Wordpress environment or other Content Management System
    • Experience with web protocols such as CSS, HTML, and responsive design
    • Basic knowledge of Javascript, PHP, Handlebars, Typescript and SQL
    • Experience consuming REST APIs for data imports via ETL with SnapLogic or similar tool
    • Strong design skills with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite to create digital assets for online experiences
    • Knowledge of marketing automation tools including Marketing Cloud, Pardot, Marketo, etc
    • Experience developing personalized experiences using different marketing technologies and concepts (dynamic content, AMPscript, Einstein recipes) preferred
    • Superior communication skills, written and verbal
    • Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, IT, Legal and HR
    • Analytical skills to report KPIs and identify trends and challenges
    • A high level of attention to detail and good organizational skills
    • Able to interpret business needs into digital marketing opportunities
    • Must be passionate about the web and demonstrate a willingness to stay up to date with an ever-changing list of best practices, new technologies and new ideas

    Computer Skills

    • Successful candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suites (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator).
    • Experience working in content management platforms (Wordpress) required.
    • Knowledge of HTML / CSS, Javascript, Handlebars and Typescript required.
    • Prior experience using CRM tools (Salesforce) and marketing automation platforms (Marketing Cloud and Pardot) a plus but not required.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

    Web certifications and Salesforce Marketing Cloud certification preferred, but not required.
