Position Summary
The Graphic Designer is responsible for handling all graphic design-related matters as it pertains to on-site signage and web-related designs. Additionally, they are responsible for aiding in signage-related responsibilities. Conceptualizes and creates designs, concepts and layouts, and produces digital, video and photographic content for the Company's website, print, digital and social media channels to support the marketing, advertising, public relations and community relations to ensure the Company’s community, regional, and state presence.
Position Responsibilities:
- Works on various projects and media, using software programs to develop designs that meet the goals of Flagstop Car Wash.
- Works closely with the Brand Manager, President & Advertising Agency for input on designs to ensure they meet goals & requirements.
- Performs regular audits alongside Brand Manager to ensure on-site signage designs are up to standards.
- Manages design and uploading process for all project materials, based on best practices for using a content management system.
- Works on various designs for digital and print materials.
- Prepares rough drafts and presents ideas to Brand Manager, President & Advertising Agency.
- Meets with Advertising Agency weekly to overview projects.
- Ensures final designs meet brand requirements.
- Conceptualizes and creates designs, concepts and layouts based on knowledge of design principles
- Develops and creates graphics for a wide variety of print and online publications, illustrations, collateral materials, website, video and social media channels.
- Conceptualizes, designs, implements, and maintains innovative and cutting edge high-quality designs for print, website, collateral materials, and social media channels.
- Manages and constantly updates/monitors the Company’s social media channels.
- Designs digital graphics, flyers, brochures, rack cards, posters, and logos for use company-wide.
- Creates, shoots, edits and produces short videos with short timelines.
- Familiarity with design programs, such as Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator and InDesign.
- Shoots digital photos at company-wide and community events to illustrate stories and videos, for use on social media platforms, collateral materials, marketing and advertising the Company.
- Coordinates production schedules to ensure projects and assignments are delivered in a timely manner.
- Assists in the development and implementation of a comprehensive social media strategy.
- Develops brand awareness for the Company’s social media channels.
- Generates relevant and engaging content for all of the Company’s social media channels.
- Provides guidance and support to division departments to assist in the development of their social media strategies.
- Produces graphics, video and photographic content for the Company’s social media channels.
- Creates and publishes content across the Company’s multiple platforms.
- Cultivates individual relationships and partnerships that support the Company’s initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Two or more years of experience in professional graphic design.
- Experience with design software such as Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and more.
- Proficiency with photo-editing software.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Organizational and time management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Great active listening skills.

- Portfolio of work with a wide variety of creative projects.
- Experience with both print and digital media.
- Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print and web.

Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in graphic design or art-related field.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, with a concentration in Communications, graphic design, visual/media arts, or related field.
- Minimum of three (2) years of experience in graphic design, social media or related field.
- Demonstrated professional experience in graphic design.
- Experience designing for print and digital platforms.
- Demonstrated experience in content production for social media.
- Must be willing to travel to various locations, as needed.
Schedule:
Status: Part Time with the potential to convert to Full-Time after 90 days.
Location: Chester, VA

Pay: $21.00 per hour
