    WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    The DPC Product: Development team is looking for a Director of Product Management to lead our Product Development team and our mission to deliver a seamless and intuitive product creation ecosystem that meets user and business needs while delivering tangible value. This Director provides leadership, guidance and support to a team of Product Management professionals in addition to demonstrating and coaching standard methodologies, behaviors, and principles of effective digital product management.

    We are looking for a highly analytical, creative, consumer and user-obsessed individual who can simultaneously understand the big picture and have a strong command of the details of sophisticated scope and landscape. 

    The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of people-first leadership, delivering results, and bringing large cross-functional products and platforms to life. 

    WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

    You will help craft and implement the Product Development and Digital Creation product vision and strategy, the roadmap and end-to-end lifecycle of several product areas, and help identify and scope opportunities to drive creation speed, efficiency, usability, and value. This will be based on a solid understanding of technology and platforms as well as product creation user and business needs, enabling Nike creation teams to focus more on products than process while enabling the organization to more efficiently operate and scale. You will lead a product space along with other leaders and product spaces in DPC including; Planning and Merchandising, Design, Materials and Color, as well as other functions such as Design and Production, Data Management and Governance.

    In this role you will:

    • Own and drive the user-facing product roadmap aligned with team and group vision and underlying business case and return on investment or value proposition
    • Mentor and develop the competencies and skills of team members and our Product Management discipline and develop future leaders and Product Managers
    • Develop and nurture successful relationships with users, business leaders, Technology partners, and others
    • Ensure that teams are appropriately organized, resourced, motivated, engaged, and prepared to advance the goals of their organizations
    • Ensure product strategies align with other products and with Nike’s goals and objectives
    • Assess, supervise, and report on product performance through KPIs as well as Key Results and Outcomes across various stages of product lifecycle
    • Remove obstacles, and help the team navigate the organization to optimize success
    • Promote cross-team and cross-organizational knowledge sharing through multiple forums (e.g. user groups, demos, design reviews, practicums).
    • Make prioritization and trade-off decisions, balancing the consumer experience, launch complexity and timeline, development effort across multiple product teams, and business value
    • Help drive alignment across product backlogs and roadmaps to ensure alignment across portfolio as well as with company strategic goals and enterprise value propositions
    • Demonstrate knowledge of qualitative research and emerging technologies such as AI and machine learning

    This role is inherently cross-functional by design; you will work closely with users and business leaders (both local and global), other DPC product teams, Technology and Engineering, Experience Designers, Program and Portfolio Management, Consumer Creation Operations, Finance, Legal, to bring our experiences to market.

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • 10 years' experience in digital product management roles
    • 5 years' experience building and managing teams
    • 5 years leading multi-functional teams involving product management, project, program or portfolio management, transition management, design, engineering, etc.
    • Demonstrated experience delivering results in complex product and program environments
    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up actions
    • Experience developing and/or deploying digital product solutions to a global user community
    • MBA or Master’s Degree preferred
