Web Product Management Director manages the lifecycle of new technology products or feature enhancements. Researches and develops the roadmap for new products or feature enhancements and plans and oversees the product lifecycle. Being a Web Product Management Director gathers insights from customers and the marketplace to understand needs, new technologies, and trends in the market. Guides the conceptualization, requirements gathering, specification creation, release, and implementation processes. Additionally, Web Product Management Director ensures that product delivery schedules and tasks related to all aspects of product development are coordinated with stakeholders to successfully release new products on time and within budget. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Web Product Management Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Web Product Management Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Description

    We are looking for a skilled Director of Product Management to join our diverse team. As a driving force behind the entire product lifecycle, you will be responsible for setting high standards for our product offerings. Your role will include mentoring and coaching your team as you share your passion and expertise. Be prepared to think strategically, solve problems, and propose product iterations that create meaningful change and impact for all users!

    Responsibilities

    • Define, communicate, and implement a vision and strategy for Waterford.org software solutions and key personas
    • Develop and maintain a product roadmap of releases, initiatives, and epics, with a time horizon of product deliverables for the next 3-12 months
    • People Leadership: Manage, lead, and collaborate with Product Owner(s) to reach goals and achieve deliverables
    • Make informed feature and prioritization decisions using quantitative and qualitative data, and track the results
    • Use data - quantitative and qualitative - to make informed feature and prioritization decisions and for tracking results
    • Continuously champion, promote, and advance diversity, equity, and inclusion through all related job functions
    • Collaborate on and contribute to organizational DEI efforts and goals

    Requirements

    • 7 years of Product Management experience, preferably with 5 years in Early Education, EdTech products
    • BS/BA or similar work experience
    • Expertise in Product Management with a big-picture vision and the drive to make that vision a reality
    • Proven experience using techniques and strategies through the product development lifecycle to discover, prioritize, plan, and launch products users love
    • Effective communicator, including excellent written, verbal, and presentation abilities
    • Standout colleague and leader, with the confidence to own and guide projects, and the modesty to sit back and let the team drive

    Waterford.org team members are located across the United States and primarily work from home. We anticipate paying between $130,000 - 142,000 for this full time position based on the education, experience and skill level of the individual we hire. In addition to your base salary Waterford has an annual bonus program. We offer a phenomenal benefits package that includes fully paid primary premiums for health insurance, dental insurance, basic life insurance, and disability insurance. New hires receive a one-time HSA contribution. Retirement contributions are matched up to 5% by the organization. Plus, a generous vacation, sick, and holiday offering.
