Web Product Management Director manages the lifecycle of new technology products or feature enhancements. Researches and develops the roadmap for new products or feature enhancements and plans and oversees the product lifecycle. Being a Web Product Management Director gathers insights from customers and the marketplace to understand needs, new technologies, and trends in the market. Guides the conceptualization, requirements gathering, specification creation, release, and implementation processes. Additionally, Web Product Management Director ensures that product delivery schedules and tasks related to all aspects of product development are coordinated with stakeholders to successfully release new products on time and within budget. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Web Product Management Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity.     Enterprise Data Governance & Platforms (EDGP) is part of the larger Enterprise Digital and Data Solutions (EDDS) organization.  EDGP improves the customer experience and drives business growth through robust enterprise-wide data policies and governance and enabling a data-driven culture, while developing digital and data platforms that provide insightful customer relationships and allow users to leverage enterprise-wide data capabilities.

    Enterprise Data Sharing Solutions (EDSS) is part of the Enterprise Data Governance, Digital & Data Platforms (EDGP) organization, which sits within Enterprise Digital and Data Solutions (EDDS).  EDSS improves Amex data privacy & data sharing through the implementation of modern data sharing capabilities and strategies that enable faster speed to market while enhancing safe sharing connections.  To support the roll-out of our evolving digital capabilities, we are embarking on an exciting and transformational journey to define and govern our Web ecosystem at American Express.

    The Senior Manager, Product Management – Web Governance will be part of the team tasked with delivering a product suite and program that aims to catalogue and monitor our Web ecosystem as well as supporting the efficient and consistent roll-out of key growth and compliance features across our sites.  Partnered significantly with our Technologies colleagues, this role will support the establishment of a Web Standard, and will partner with lines of business, experience owners, second line, and others to coordinate delivery of end-to-end solutions and process enhancements. 

     

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Partner closely with Engineering to define scalable, effective Web Standards and Procedures.
    • Manage the ongoing definition and review of web standards and determine how these play out across the lifecycle of a site.
    • Partner across engineering teams to build a Central Web Catalog tool that will be leveraged across the enterprise.
    • Manage the ongoing scanning of websites for catalog upkeep and ensure compliance with the defined web standards and principles.
    • Drive the discovery of the Root URLs at the Business unit level and determine what meta data needs to be captured to align with digital data privacy guidelines.
    • As the first use case for consistent functionality, coordinate with the Digital Tracking Platform team to ensure aligned roadmap and support of their in-flight remediation program.
    • Coordination and socialization of risk and feasibility-based use case prioritization with BU partners and Internal Audit.
    • Closely partner with site and experience owners to review and validate URLs in the enterprise.
    • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across multiple lines of businesses.

    Qualification Requirements:

    • 5 years of demonstrated excellence in leading teams delivering technology-driven business solutions across the enterprise.
    • Experience in managing web-related products is strongly preferred.
    • A good acumen for and experience in pulling, analyzing, slicing and dicing data while deriving significant insights and recommendations is a plus.
    • Highly organized and self-motivated individual who can combine problem-resolution, insights-driven prioritization, and ability to influence to achieve critical business goals.
    • Rigorous attention to detail, with demonstrated proficiency in creating transparent, well-communicated, and scalable processes, while leading the implementation of those processes across a matrixed environment.
    • Confidence in decision-making in complex & ambiguous situations; comfortable troubleshooting and aligning conflicting interests.
    • Well versed in current industry best practices regarding product solution design and delivery disciplines.

    Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually bonus benefits
